Medicine Shield Photography is about creating empowering visual stories, depending on spaces and places, and remembering that there is magic in the individual pursuit of visual creativity.
I’m Moe, Rock Cree, and this site carries more than photographs; it carries lived experience, seen through a lens. My husband Charles, Blackfoot, is often in front of it, my main model, but he’s also a partner in this photography adventure.
Some of what I share is mine; the rest, I simply find interesting enough to pass along.
And in the middle of it all, we keep looking for the magic.
